Pearl Grace Hendley, 90, of Pooler went to her heavenly home Tuesday December 14, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 24, 1931 in Sylvania, GA to the late Willie Brant and the late Mary Frances Attaway Brant. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a great friend to all who knew her. She always had a kind word, a warm smile and the ability to see the best in everyone she met. She loved to laugh and just being around her made everything better. She enjoyed music and dancing but her greatest joy was spending time with family. She was also a long-time member of Jasper Springs Baptist Church in Garden City. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she was "Mom" and "Grandma" to many and she cherished that role.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Clinton B. (Chuck) Hendley; brothers and sisters in law, Bill (Ellen) Brant, Wyman (Corine) Brant, Aus (Bernice) Brant; sisters and brothers in law, Reaby (Curtis) Altman, Louise (Bobby) Davis, Beula (Clifford) Davis and Kathleen (Bob) Eason.
She is survived by her children, Ted (Leslie) Hendley, Chris (Tammy) Hendley all of Pooler; grandchildren: Taylor and Summer Hendley of Atlanta; nephew Larry (Gloria) Davis of Rincon, and nieces Wanda (Gary) Smith and Staci (Jason) Reddick of Pooler, who she was more of a second mom than an aunt, along with many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday December 20, 2021 from 9:30-10:30 am with the funeral to follow at 10:30 with Mr. Dusty Reynolds and Mr. Kevin Smith officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery located at 1336 Dean Forest Road in Garden City.
