MRS. PEARL SARAH TILLEN

Mrs. Pearl Sarah Tillen, 95, died March 8, 2007, at The Place At Pooler.

She was a native of Savannah and resided here for many years where she owned and operated Nicholson Pharmacy on Bay Street. Upon her retirement, she moved to Orlando where she was a member of Christ Church. She later returned to Savannah and made her home here. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Ralph A. Nicholson, a grandson, William N. Burgess, and a great-granddaughter, Emily G. Burgess.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William D. and Doris Burgess of Garden City; grandchildren, Dennis P. Burgess, Sr., of Bloomingdale, Patricia B. Lawrence of Jasper, Ga., and Andra R. Burgess of Meldrim; great-grandchildren, Dennis Paul, Melina, Dena, Les, Jason, Sarah, Jessica, Justin, and Amanda; great-great grandchildren, Devin, TreLeigh, Layla, Cameron and Hailey, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM Saturday at the Thomas C. Strickland and Sons Funeral Home, in Pooler, Ga.

Graveside services will be 12 noon Saturday at Elkins Cemetery on Highway 204. Pallbearers will be Jason Foreman, Les Foreman, Andra Burgess and Terry Cook.
