Peggy Hinely Bates

Hilton Head Island, SC - Peggy Hinely Bates, 77, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010
and went home to be with her Lord.

The Effingham County native was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Eager Hinely
and Kate Earnestine Hurst Hinely. She was a retired educator with Effingham County
School Board and was a member of Community Bible Church in Beaufort. She was a
warm-hearted person whom loved the Lord and people.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Bates of Hilton Head Island, SC; children, Sidney
Thomas (Teona) Babjak of St. Simons Island and Marisa Babjak (Jim) Wiggins of
Boynton Beach, FL; step-daugther, Paula (Keith) Judenis of Wisconsin; grandchildren,
Jennifer Babjak, Bryan Babjak, and Madeline Judenis; sister, Betty Hinely Gilmore of St.
Simons Island; niece, Camille (Charles) Tucker and her daughter, Emma.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Community Bible Church in Beaufort.
Mrs. Bates will lie in state from 1 p.m.

Interment will be in Rincon Cemetery.
