Rincon – Philip Lee Wayco, 52, passed away January 26, 2023 at Effingham Hospital.

The Crown Point, Indiana native was a graduate of DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. He was a sales representative for Kemira Chemicals and had been in the pulp and paper industry for over 30 years. Philip was a band booster at South Effingham High School that loved playing golf, boating, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with his family. He was diligent about personal fitness and running. He was very generous and wanted to help others, including volunteering at Habitat for Humanity.

Survivors include his wife, Christy Wayco; children, Ashley Wayco and Carson Wayco; his parents, James and Phyllis Wayco; brother, James Eric Wayco (Tammy Lewis); and other relatives including Jemetta Hunt (Alvin Washington), Dr. Loren Hunt (Debbie Weiler), Emily Hunt, Andrea Hunt, Koleta Hunt Forcelli (Peter), Giavanna Forcelli, Lilianna Forcelli, and Breanna Forcelli.

Visitation: 3-4 pm Sunday January 29, 2023 in the funeral home.

Memorial Service: 4 pm Sunday, January 29, 2023 in the funeral home chapel.

Remembrances: St. Boniface Catholic Church.
