Obituary
Hilton Head Island, SC-Mr. Philip Charters Windsor, 63, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Mr. Windsor was born in Guyton, GA and was preceded in death by his father, David W. Windsor and his brother, David W. Windsor, Jr. He graduated from Georgia Tech and enjoyed watching the Yellow Jackets play football. He was the owner/operator of Island Interior Contractors, Inc. He served his country in the National Guard. He formerly served as head of the Guyton Recreation Department, served on Guyton City Council and served on the Effingham Board of Recreation.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Trowell Windsor of Hilton Head Island; two sons and a daughter-in-law, David W. & Deanna S. Windsor of Bluffton and Philip D. Windsor of Hilton Head Island; grandchildren, David W. Windsor, II and Kaleb L. Windsor; mother, Doris Sweat Windsor; aunt, Miriam Sweat Griffin as well as a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. He was a loving son, husband, father and papop who will be missed by many.
The visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler, GA.
