Guyton-Phillip Leroy Hamaker, 56, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at University Hospital in Augusta.
Phillip was born in Jacksonville, FL., but a native of Savannah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Sarah Dasher Hamaker; brother, Earl Wayne Wright; nephew, Michael Carter; brother-in-law, Scotty England. He retired from Gulfstream Aerospace, and was currently employed with Daniel Defense. He was of the Lutheran faith, partied hard, and worked harder.
Survivors include his wife, Connie England Hamaker; children, Phillip D. Hamaker, and Beth Hamaker; grandchildren, Bella Smith, and Evelyn Bakar; sister, Maudene (Ed) Graham; brother, H.E. (Shirley) Wright; mother-in-law, Sandra Wright; sisters-in-law, Melissa England and Denise England; brother-in-law, Steven England; several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The visitation will be on Friday from 5 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home with the memorial service to follow at 6 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that remembrances be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 121 Noel C. Conaway Road, Guyton, GA 31312.
