Phyllis LaVern Diederich, 85, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away peacefully at The Oaks in Pooler on Saturday, May 4, 2024.

She was born May 5, 1938 in Mammoth Spring, Arkansas.  She graduated high school in May of 1956 and worked at Gulfstream Aerospace in several positions.  Phyllis also volunteered at her church over many years.  Phyllis was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Hazel Strausser Pepper; brothers, Richard Francis Pepper and Donald Eugene Pepper, as well as her son-in-law, Anthony Clyde "Tony" Griffin.

Survivors include her son, Ricky Diederich (Karen); daughter, Rhonda Lyn Griffin; grandchildren, Kali, Kasi (Logan), Samuel (Ariana), and Grace; great-grandchild, Nash.

The graveside funeral and burial will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim, Georgia.
