Guyton – Rachel Webb Pevey, 89, passed away August 20, 2025 at Heritage Inn Health.

The Effingham County native was a member of Guyton Christian Church and was a homemaker.  She enjoyed Bingo, gardening, and watching sports especially the Atlanta Braves.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Alton Webb and Marjorie Bell Dykes Webb; her husband, Adrian Pevey; and daughter, Denise Pevey.

Survivors include her son, Michael Pevey; grandchildren, Brittany Chapman, Nicholas Pevey, and Allisa Alexander; great-grandchildren, Adrian Chapman, Braelynn Alexander, Calliope Alexander, Stella Alexander, Waylon Alexander, and Zori Pevey; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2025 at the funeral home.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2025 at Guyton Cemetery.
