Springfield – Ramsey O'Dell Mannon, 57, passed away August 12, 2021 at Augusta University Medical Center.

The West Virginia native was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served in Desert Storm in the Security Police.  He was a Sergeant with Effingham County Sheriff's Office, a member of the GA Sheriff's Chaplain Division, Peace Officer's Association of GA, and National Deputy Sheriff's Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Reckard Homer Mannon and Mae Eskew Mannon.

Survivors include his wife, Eva Mannon; son, Joshua O'Dell Mannon, his wife Kayla; daughter, Rachel LeAnne Mannon, her fiancé, Chris; grandchildren, Jared Douglas and Kasen O'Dell; siblings, Martin Russell, Thomas Russell, Jerry Mannon, his wife Teresa, Franklin Mannon, Samuel Mannon, and Carrie Parsons; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Monday, August 16, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Springfield followed by funeral services at 12 noon.

Private graveside services will be held at GA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, GA.
