Obituary

Savannah-Mrs. Ray Pearl Bishop Moore, age 100, died May 24, 2015. She was born April 23, 1915 in Lodge, SC. She was the oldest daughter of the late Eddie Ruthward Bishop and Ella Ray Cummings Bishop and the last surviving child. She was predeceased by 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
She was the widow of the late Alva Murphy Moore. They attended Morningside Baptist Church in Savannah for over 20 years before moving their membership to Chevis Oaks Baptist Church where she maintained her membership. Due to health reasons she had not been able to attend in recent years. Her greatest joy was her grandsons and working in her flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Sue Ella Moore Ryle and her husband, Wendell Walter Ryle, of Pooler, and her grandsons, Stephen Andrew Ryle of Thornton, CO, and Matthew Adam Ryle of Pooler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at Strickland's Funeral Home in Pooler. The service will be at 1:30 p.m. following visitation. Rev. Kenny Harrelson officiating, and Hospice Chaplin Ken Sharpe assisting. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
