Mr. Ray C. Martin
"Papa"

Garden City-Mr. Ray C. Martin, 84, died on Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Hospice
Savannah with his family at his side.

Mr. Martin was born in Emanuel County to the late Freddie & Ella Martin. He was a
member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City and a member of the Frank F. Baker
Masonic Lodge. He retired from Union Camp after 44 1/2 years of service and he
enjoyed fishing and camping. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Charles & Jack
Martin and a sister, Lucille Odom, all of Swainsboro.

Survivors include his wife of 64 1/2 years, Dallas Martin of Garden City; daughters and
sons-in-law, Diane & Brant Rushing of Pooler and Jean & John Hunter of Springfield;
grandchildren, Sherri & Ben Walsh, Stephanie & Todd Harrison and Traci & Barry
Alexander; great-grandchildren, Delton Rushing, Zane, Liam & Raegan Harrison, Taylor
& Benjamin Walsh; step-great-granddaughters, Stephanie & Ashley Alexander; sister,
Evi Dell McCall of Savannah; brother, Roger Martin of Swainsboro and a number of
nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. on Sunday in the chapel of the funeral home with entombment to
follow at Eastbrook Cemetery in Swainsboro.
