Raymond Allen Daniel
Rincon- Raymond Allen Daniel, 62 passed away from a heart attack on Saturday, November 1 while on vacation in North Carolina.
He retired from the Georgia Ports Authority in May after 30 years of service as a crane maintenance supervisor and was a retired Master Sergeant from the 165th Air National Guard after 28 years of service. He was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, son, brother and friend. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rincon where he was a member of the Brotherhood Sunday School Class, served as an usher, was a past member of the Transportation Board, and was a Gideon. He was also a member of the Port City Cruisers and the Coastal Corvette Club. He was preceded in death by his father, James Dudley "Danny" Daniel.
Survivors include his wife, Ann L. Daniel; daughters, Amy Granetto (Kevin) and Mandy Smith (Phil); three grandchildren, Milo, Simon, and Arya; mother, Frances Daniel; brothers, David and Stewart Daniel; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation: 6-8 pm Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 am Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Rincon.
Interment: Private
