Mr. Raymond A. Hargroves, Jr. 80, of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at Hospice Savannah.

He was born in Savannah, Georgia to the late Raymond A. Hargroves, Sr. and Elouise Wade Hargroves.  He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Louise A. Hargroves, and his second wife, Barbara S. Hargroves.  He served his country in the National Guard Auxiliary, was the former president of the Savannah Mustang Club, and was the former owner/operator of Auto Machine of Savannah.  He was a Deacon and member of Countryside Baptist Church.  He enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends, and playing cards.

Survivors include his children, Larie (Roy) Dempsey of Guyton, Sheri (Lee) Woods of Savannah, Tiffany (Michael) Sparks of Richmond Hill, Michael (Coreen) Hughes of Springfield, and Lisa Hughes of Springfield; his best friend, Janice Nease of Rincon; grandchildren, Melanie (Eddie) Brannon, Kristin (Steven) Bryant, T.J. (Katie) Dempsey, Laura (Joe) Fordham, Joshua Woods, Jacob Sparks, Oliver Sparks, and Caleb Hughes, as well as six great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 from 6 until 8 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Raymond's life will be on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Rick Flowers will officiate.  The active pallbearers will be David McCall, Allen Kieffer, Ben Nutting, Curtis Jones, Gary Page and Critter Kieffer.  The honorary pallbearers will be the deacons from Countryside Baptist Church.

All CDC and social distancing guidelines will be in place, including the mandatory wearing of masks (Chatham County Mandate).

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be given to Countryside Baptist Church Mission Fund, 1201 Noel C. Conaway Road, Guyton, GA  31312 or to Hospice Savannah, P.O. Box 13190, Savannah, GA  31416 in memory of Mr. Raymond
