Mr. Raymond C. Newman, 87, of Ellabell, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020.

He was born in Bulloch County to the late John and Bertha Lanier Newman.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Blonnie Butler Newman, and a daughter, Joy Myers.  He attended the Savannah Holy Church of God for a number of years, and recently had been attending The Bridge Church.  He retired from CSX Railroad and enjoyed farming.

Survivors include his daughters, Gloria Davis (Larry) and Melody Covington; eight grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be on Tuesday, December 15 ^th from 10 until 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by the funeral at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Ash Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Lawrence Butler will officiate.  The pallbearers will be Ryan Davis, Ronnie Williford, Drake Williford, Braxton Williford, Noah Davis, Brandon Myers and Dylan Covington.  All CDC and social distancing guidelines will be in place including the wearing of masks (Chatham County Mandate).
