Rebecca G. Burnette (Burrell), age 72, passed away peacefully at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, West Virginia on January 26th. Rebecca was born in Duvall County, Florida, on February 29, 1952, was a lifelong resident of Effingham County, Georgia, but moved to West Virginia 22 years ago.

Growing up in Barnwell, SC, Rebecca was an avid animal lover, talented artist, and a Classical/Gaelic Irish music lover. Her favorite places to be were at the beach, with her animals, and listening to music at Kevin Barrys Irish pub.

She is survived by: her only child, Allana B. Strickland and son-in-law Lee H. Strickland, granddaughter Chloe Strickland, grandson Aiden Strickland, eldest sister Lois Courchene, baby sister Donna B. Peaster, sister-in-law Robin Burrell, brother-in-law Don Courchene, brother-in-law Don Peaster, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her father, Laverne W. Burrell, mother, Ida C. Elliott, and brothers James Burrell Sr. and David Burrell.
