Rebecca Sims Goss

Springfield – Rebecca Sims Goss, 89, passed away on December 10, 2018 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Rebecca was born in Atlanta on May 15, 1929 to the late Willoughby H. Sims and Ruth Stocks Sims.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Harold Donald Goss.

Becky was an adoring mother who taught Sunday School for many years as she raised her children to love the Lord. She was always the peacemaker except when it came to protecting her family. She spoke to you with laughter in her voice and looked at you with love in her eyes. Her quick wit and positive attitude was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a talented artist and passed that passion on to her daughter.

She accepted her gypsy life style with little complaints and no regrets and was a faithful helpmate to Don. She was the "eye of calm" in the middle of Don's flurry of activity.

Survivors include her son, Guy Allen Goss (Michele); daughter, Donna Goss Hellmann (Keith); grandson, Kurt Patrick Hellman (Erika); great-grandsons, Emerson and Hudson.

Visitation will be 7:00 to 8:30 PM, Thursday, December 13, 2018 with funeral services, Friday, December 14 ^th at 10AM at Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, 2460 Hwy. 21 S., Rincon, GA 31326.

Graveside services will be 1:00PM on Friday, December 14, 2018 at GA Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 8819 U.S. Hwy. 301, Glennville, GA 30427.
