Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Sapp

Mrs. Rebecca Lynn “Becky” Sapp, 79, of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Becky will be missed by her husband of 19 years, I.J. “Sparky” Sapp, Jr.; daughter, Demeshia Coleman (Brian); son, Bobby Webb; grandchildren, Christopher Coleman (Ashli) and Madison Allen (Nick); great-grandchildren, Tucker, Aurora, and Autumn; step-children, James T. Sapp and Lisa Marie Holmes (Stephen); step-grandchildren, Chandler Holmes (Madison) and Will Holmes (McKenzie); step-great-granddaughter, Taylor; sister, Cindy Shorey; best friend, Donnie Jernigan, and Becky’s little shadow, Cooper.

Becky was born in Nashville, Tennessee and was preceded in death by her former husband of 24 years, Jimmy Ford; son, Petey Moreland; parents, Jack Bearden and Mary P. Leonard; brother, Doug Bearden. She graduated from Jenkins High School in 1966 where she and Sparky were classmates, and later reconnected after 41 years.  She was an active member of Pooler Bible Church. She loved the Lord and her church family. She enjoyed playing softball, bowling, gardening, fishing, traveling, eating crab legs and dancing, especially shagging. She is going to be missed.

The visitation will be at Pooler Bible Church located at 1204 U.S. Highway 80 on Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. The funeral to honor Becky’s life will follow at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church.
