Guyton, GA - Rebecca D. Shirley, 67, passed away Sunday, September 12,2021 at Candler Hospital.

The Effingham County native was a member of New Hope Christian Church and had been a bus driver for the Effingham Board of Education for 25 years. She was involved with the Relay for Life events each year and always loved helping children.  She loved the outdoors and was always planning the next vacation.

Survivors include her fiancé, Vadin Ranew; four sons, Timothy Winemiller, Jeffrey Winemiller, Jonathan Shirley, Nicholas Shirley; grandchildren, Austin Winemiller and Jordan Winemiller; sister, Martha Walsh (Bill); brother, Robert Griffin (Wanda).

Visitation: 6 -8 pm Wednesday, September 15, 2021 in the funeral home.

Funeral: 10 am Thursday, September 16, 2021 in the funeral home chapel.

The family requests that masks be worn inside the funeral home.

Interment: Effingham Memorial Gardens
