Rex Clayton Rahn

Rex Clayton Rahn, age 61, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at home.

Rex was born on October 6, 1964, in Savannah, Georgia. He spent most of his life in the Effingham and Chatham County area, where he built a life centered on family, hard work, and simple joys. A carpet layer by trade, Rex worked alongside his Dad on River Street Market Place, a partnership that reflected both his strong work ethic and close bond with his dad.

Rex had a deep love for Georgia Bulldogs and especially enjoyed watching football games, and other sports with his dad that meant more to him than anything else. Those who knew Rex will remember his love for family, his quiet dedication and his generous giving heart.

He is survived by his father, James (Jim) Marion Rahn; (Patricia Logsdon) of Bloomingdale; his sister, Saundra “Sandy” Rahn Sellars (Glenn) of Brooklet his nephew, Cody Sipe (Christina); his niece, Kaylee Clay Flood (Daniel); his great-nephew, Huxton; and his great-niece Laiken. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins and extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Rex was preceded in death by his mother, Gail Cantrell; his grandparents, J.O. Rahn and Annie Blanche Rahn; and Irene Harris.

Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Rincon Cemetery.
