Richard Allen Garland

Harrisburg, NC – Richard Allen Garland, 59, passed away November 1, 2026 at his residence.

The Chatham County native retired from AT&T after many years as a technician. He loved his dogs and his family, but his greatest love was his grandson, Colton, that he was raising.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Garland, father, David Larry Garland, Sr.; and step-father, John Seiler.

Survivors include his wife, Andrea Lekas Garland; mother, Linda Seiler; grandson, Colton Garland; brothers, Larry Garland, Jimmy Garland, and Adam Garland (Carla); sisters, Tammy Snipes (Jason) and Julie Parker (Anthony); and a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2026 followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
