Guyton-Mr. Richard "Dick" Barnes, Jr., 79, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Mr. Barnes was born in Ozark, AL to the late Richard Joseph & Mamie Barnes, Sr. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Barnes; children, Cheire Burns, Richard Barnes and Amy & Fred Young; grandchildren, Brooke and Jack Burns, Porter, Wilson, Mary Jane, Molly & Owen Young; sister, Dorothy Kennedy; one niece and one nephew.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 4 p.m. on Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church located at 121 Noel C. Conaway Road in Guyton. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
