Springfield – Richard Eugene Bell, 79, passed away September 9, 2021 at Effingham Hospital.

The West Virginia native served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from Delta Air Lines.  He was the owner and founder of Bell's Home and Lawn Care, enjoyed fishing, working outdoors, and Bingo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Elizabeth Bell; his wife, Joyce Bell; brother, Chuckie Bell; sister, Rosie Fetty (Frank).

Survivors include his sons, Ricky A. Bell (Kimberly), Jeffrey A. Bell (Norma), and Darrell A. Bell (Georgia); brother, Johnny Borsos; sisters, Carol Popp (Joseph) and Patty Moorehead (Chuck); grandchildren, Christopher Bell, Branden Bell, Kisha Bell, Joshua Bell, Tiffany Kinard, Linda Wagstaff, Allison Rowe, and Bryce Beasley; a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 13, 2021 at Effingham Memorial Gardens with visitation beginning at 9:15 a.m. at the cemetery.
