Richard L. Chelton

Rincon – Richard L. Chelton, 73, passed away August 29, 2020 at Effingham Hospital.

The Philipburg, PA native was a retired truck driver. The US Navy Vietnam veteran served on the USS Intrepid. He was an avid hunter and fisherman as well as a member of the Chevron Coffee Club. Richard was a member of Emanuel Lutheran church in New Springfield, OH.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Chelton; children, Brian Chelton (Tina), Vicki Allen (John), and Janet Morris; sisters, Barbara Brown, Janis Stiner, Eleanor Chelton and Darlene Chelton; brothers, Charles Stiner and Kenny Chelton; 8 grandchildren including Courtney Jo, Mercedes, Sydney, and Kayleigh; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 6-7 pm Wednesday, September 2, 2020 in the funeral home. CDC guidelines and social distancing will be in place and followed.
