With deepest sorrow I announce that my son, Richard Leo Diebold, III passed away in his sleep on Saturday, October 30, 2021.  Richard was 39 years young.

RLD III was born at Fort Hood, TX on August 26, 1982.  Richard grew up in Warner Robins, GA and Fort Walton Beach, FL. Richard graduated from Choctaw High School in 1999.

Richard is survived by his loving mom, Maxine Byers, his loving sisters, Chelsea Diebold, Amy Byers Thrash, and Annie Byers.  Richard will be missed by his children, Jasmine and Lilly, his father, Richard Leo Diebold, II, his grandparents, Vern and June Cox, Richard and Susan Diebold, as well as uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, brother-in-law, and friends.

Richard was a talented and excellent athlete.  He competed competitively in both swimming and baseball during his youth.  However, his love was for baseball.  From an early age Richard loved to fish.  He worked as a deck hand on the Eagles Arc at Eglin Air Force Base as a teenager.  To lose someone special as a child is hard to bear and seems unbelievable to know that you are no longer here.  We love and miss you Richard XOXO.
