Richard "Allen" Jones, Jr., 46, of Port Wentworth, Georgia, passed away.

Allen was born in Savannah, Georgia and was preceded in death by his father, Richard Allen Jones.  Allen had worked in the grocery business since 1992, working his way up from bagging groceries to his current position as produce manager.  He enjoyed sports, especially watching the Braves, Bulldogs, and Falcons.  He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, and son.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Oliver Jones; children, Savannah Jones and Alex Jones; mother, Carol A. Shamblin (Gary Carter); sisters, Erica Tyson (Eric) and Jessica Stevenson, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The visitation will be on Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 11 a.m. until 12 noon at the funeral home.  The memorial service to honor Allen's life will follow at 12 noon in the chapel of the funeral home.
