Dr. Richard Milton Singleton

Rincon- Dr. Richard Milton Singleton, 76, passed away on June 9, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

The Morganton, NC native had served in the US Army. He had received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and his Doctorate Degree in Industrial Psychology from UCLA. He had worked for Lockheed-Martin and California School Systems.

Dr. Singleton served as the Vice President of the Republican Party in Grants, NM and had served on the Library Board in Grants, NM. He enjoyed gourmet cooking, photography, painting. Early on he was very active playing football in college, hang-gliding and mountain climbing.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Singleton; children, Jinna Marbry and Michael Singleton; 4 step-children, Derek (Debbie) Brown, R. Kevin (Melissa) Brown, Dawn Broad and Tisha Camp; 2 grandsons, Kenny Marbry, Charles Singleton; 5 granddaughters, Courtney Hand, Jessica and Gillian Marbry, Marie and Renee Singleton. 9 step-grandchildren.

Visitation: 2-3 pm, Saturday, June 16, 2012 in the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph's/Candler's NICU and Dr. Meadows for their wonderful care and compassion.
