Richard Guy Wilt, Sr.

Rincon - Richard Guy Wilt, Sr., 75, formerly of Chester, VA, and Rainelle, WV, was called home to the Lord on June 28, 2016.

Richard retired from Smurfit-Stone Container after 42 years of distinguished service. In retirement, he was active in his church, Rincon United Methodist Church and Habitat For Humanity. He was a kind and generous man who gave his time and energy to anyone in need. He was an avid golfer and member of Lost Plantation Golf Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Evelyn Wilt; brother, Jim Wilt; sisters, Mickey Carrico and Bunny Kessler.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sandra Wilt; daughter, Rhonda Wilt; sons, Richard Guy Wilt, Jr. (Teresa), and Rodney Wilt; grandchildren, Ritchie Wilt, Kyle Wilt, and Claire Wilt; brother, George Wilt, (Joanne); sister, Pat Williams (Dickie); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and close family friends.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Rincon United Methodist Church.

Interment will be private.
