Mr. Robert "Bob" Allen Lewis, 74, of Pooler, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at his home.
Bob was born in Savannah to the late Roger V. & Birlee Lewis. He retired from Union Camp after 30 ½ years of service. He was a past member of the International Management Council where he served as President in 1995, and was an active member of Islands Christian Church. He enjoyed talking and lending a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors. He loved working in the yard and spent many hours there.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Suzanne Lewis; children, Tony Kohlhepp, Steven Lewis, Pam Parsons, and Barry Lewis; grandchildren, Chris Kohlhepp, Tommy Kohlhepp, Gary Allen Parsons, Amanda West (Will), and Taylor Parsons; great-grandchildren, Madeline Kohlhepp, Maddox, Kohlhepp, and Leilani West; sisters, Joyce Jenkins, Dorothy Newman (Jack), and Dean Carter, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Lewis will also lie in state on Friday from 11 a.m. til noon at the Islands Christian Church prior to the service.
Funeral: 12 noon Friday at the Islands Christian Church located at 4601 U.S. Hwy 80 East with Rev. Stephen Saxton officiating. Burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
