Mr. Robert K. Auger, 78, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024, at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Robert was born in England and had lived in Savannah for a number of years.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Kenneth Auger and Florence Stella Dixon Auger, as well as a brother, Deryck C. Auger.  He retired as a Master Chief SEAL after 22 years from the United States Navy, and had instructed R.O.T.C. at both Zion High School in Illinois and Effingham County High School.  He enjoyed playing golf.

Survivors include his wife of 59 ½ years, Darlene M. Auger; children, Dawn Heinen (Joseph), Christopher Auger (Sandra), Sean Auger (Priscilla), and Aaron Auger (Peggy); six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; siblings, Tim Auger (Michelle) and Sharon Auger-Rizy (William); sister-in-law, Maryanne Auger, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The service to honor Robert's life will be from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Compassion Christian Church – Henderson Campus – located at 55 Al Henderson Blvd, Savannah, Georgia.
