Robert Charles Banning (Bob)
Our beloved Robert Charles Banning (Bob), 68, of Springfield, GA, met his daughter, Tammy Banning, in heaven on Tuesday, December 24, 2013. Bob was born the son of Mary Cox and Charles Banning in Avon Park Florida on June 26, 1945.
Bob is survived by his wife of 29 years, Frances Banning; son, Charles Robert Banning and wife, Erin Banning of Wake Forest, NC; daughter, Angela Marie Davis and husband, Shawn Davis of Fort Mill, SC; brother, Chuck Banning and wife Jo Ann Banning of Battle Creek, MI; sister, Marty Smith and husband Charles of Apopka, FL; sister, Janice Richardson and husband Jim of Benton, TN; and his grandchildren that he dearly loved, Courtney, Kelli, Taylor, and Little Charles.
Bob is dearly loved by his family and friends in the community. After retiring from Hackney of 17 years, he worked at Kroger in Rincon and was well loved by those he worked with and the people he interacted with daily.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. in the chapel.
Interment will be private.
