Robert Jay "Bob" Flowers, age 87, died on Monday June 3, 2019, in Ellabell, Georgia, at the home of his eldest daughter and son-in-law.  He was born in Lamont, California and joined the Army in 1965.  Mr. Flowers served three tours in Viet Nam and was awarded the bronze star. Following his retirement from the Army, Robert was owner of Bob Flowers Trucking out of Modesto, California.  He later moved to Parma, Idaho where he served two terms as Mayor.

Mr. Flowers is survived by his children, Linda Flowers Robinson (Curtis); their children, Carrie Robinson Champion, and Michael C. Robinson; Karen Flowers Lanier (Jack, Deceased); their children, Nathaniel J. (III), Ronnie, and Walter Lanier;  Sharina Flowers Mesenburg (Bill); their children, Robert Barney, Sharina Marie Fortino, Nicole, Jason, and Eric Mesenburg; Bobbi Jean Flowers King (Quinntel); their children, Geselle Diaz, Jerami Johnston, D'Marea, Dawnshana, Tkkaria, and Bobby King; Pamela Burk; her children, Jolee Simone, and Daniel Rubino.  He is also survived by thirty-four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Flowers is preceded in death by his wife, Elfriede Maria Flowers; his father, William Jasper Flowers; mother, Julia Barnes Flowers; siblings, Ted, Doug, William Cornelius, and Donna Jean Flowers, and grandson, Michael C. Robinson.

Mr. Flowers will be laid to rest at the Georgia Veterans Cemetery-Glennville, 8819 US Hwy 301, Glennville, Georgia on Thursday, June 13th at 10 a.m. promptly with military honors.
