Bloomingdale-Robert N. "Bob" Youngblood, Sr., 73, was escorted into the presence of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday at his home surrounded by his family.
Bob was born in Ridgeland, SC, served in the National Guard and retired from C.S.X. Railroad. A long-time member of South Newington Baptist Church, he served as Sunday School teacher and Deacon. He loved to fish and camp. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil & Gladys Youngblood; a grandson, Ryan Youngblood; siblings, Joe, George & Helen Youngblood and his in-laws, Frank & Edna Davis.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Delores Youngblood; children, Dee & Jimmy Anderson, Robert, Jr. & Juanette Youngblood and Joel & Melissa Youngblood; grandchildren, William & Amanda Eason, Joshua Eason, Dayna Anderson, Joseph Youngblood and Brittney Youngblood; great-grandson, Emery Eason; siblings, Richard Youngblood, Cynthia Dersch, Mary Galloway, John Youngblood and Michael Youngblood, their families, as well as brothers-in-law, Jeff Davis & Charles Davis.
The visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday with the funeral to follow at 12 noon at South Newington Baptist Church located at 453 John Carter Road in Bloomingdale. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
