Rincon – Robert "Eugene" Chapman, Sr., 82, went to be with his Heavenly Father on  May 31, 2025 at Memorial Health.

He was born February 7, 1943 in Savannah, GA to Frank and Retha Locke Chapman.  He served in the Army Reserves and retired from C.S.X. after 26 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Carnell, Roy, Carey, Earl, Chuckie, Jackie, Norman, and Betty Chapman.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joanne Chapman; daughter, Deann Jarman (Greg); son, Robby Chapman (Faith); grandchildren, Allen Jarman (Brittany), Evan Jarman, Lauren Collum, Chase Chapman, and Adelyn Chapman; great-grandchildren, Harper, Colton, Colby, Karina, and Eden; brothers, Jerry Chapman and Denny Chapman (Nell); sister, Patricia Mardula; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was an avid NASCAR and GA Bulldogs fan.

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2025 followed by funeral services at 12:30 p.m. in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to the American Kidney Fund.
