Robert Edward Cobb
Savannah – Robert Edward Cobb, 68, of Savannah and husband of Peggy Edmunds Cobb, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Cobb was born on August 15, 1946 In Roane, Tennessee. He was a retired Truck Driver and a member of The First Baptist Church of Marlow. He was a very talented musician and loved playing the piano and singing. Mr. Cobb was a songwriter and was known for writing the song "Master" that was released in 1984.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Edmunds Cobb of Savannah; and three sisters, Crystal Little, Denyce Carlock, and Dorene Wells; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 Friday at the Funeral Home.
Funeral: 11 Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Marlow. The body will lie in state 1 hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in Upper Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Bulloch County.
Pallbearers will be Williard Jenkins, Tim Jones, Jason Fail, Lavon Fail, Joey Fail, Daniel Fordham, Buddy Deal, Jamie Edenfield.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Randy Fordham and Larry Morgan.
