Faulkville-Mr. Robert L. Collins, 83, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2010 at home.

Mr. Collins was born on March 25, 1927 in Candler County to the late Charlie H. &
Florence Brown Collins. He retired from Pittsburgh Plate & Glass in 1988. Mr. Collins
lived in the Faulkville community for 42 years and was an active member of Faulkville
Baptist Church until the deterioration of his health prevented him from serving. He
enjoyed singing and traveled to various churches in the area with his quartet, The Temple
Aires. Mr. Collins loved fishing and hunting, but racing with his grandson became one of
his favorite pastimes. He was 2007 Fan of the Year at Oglethorpe Speedway.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Faye Collins of Faulkville; children, Sue (Jimmy)
Johnson of Tallahasee, FL, Sherri (Danny) Litchfield of Guyton, Sandra (Joey) Rigdon of
Metter, Sara (Nick) Minder of Faulkville and Scott (Jennifer) Collins of Brooklet;
thirteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Roscoe (Carolyn) Collins of
Guyton; sisters, Christine Huggins of Guyton and Josephine Simmons of Aiken, SC and a
number of nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the funeral home.

The funeral to honor Mr. Collins life will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 21, 2010 in the chapel of the funeral home with his nephew, Richard Collins, officiating. Burial will follow at Bulloch Memorial Gardens, Statesboro, GA.
