Mr. Robert Harold “Robbie” Daniels Jr., 63, of Ellabell, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a short illness.
Robert will be missed by his wife of 45 years, Amanda Daniels; children, Toni Lee (Dane) of Newington, Brandy Edwards (Brannen) of Ellabell, and Chuck Daniels of Ellabell; grandchildren, Hunter Warnell, Tucker Edwards, Austin Warnell, Brady Edwards, Payton Lee, Peyton Curl, and Paislee Curl; great-grandchildren, Avery Kate Warnell, Kash Warnell, Carli Taylor, and Jayce Southerland; siblings, Teresa Davis (Buddy) and Haroldene Davis (Dows); brothers-in-law, Travis Minis (Tammy), Trent Minis, and Brian Fountain; uncle, Billy Burke, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Robert was born in Bibb County and had lived in Ellabell for 48 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Harold Daniels, Sr. and Flora Jean Lee; step-father, Henry M. Lee; mother-in-law, JoAnn Kangeter; step-father-in-law, Benny Kangeter; sisters-in-law, Robin Fountain and Tammy Minis; brother-in-law, Chuck Minis; grandparents, Gladys and Jessie McKinnon, Harold and Eva Daniels. Robert was employed by the Savannah Morning News for 33 years. He loved spending time with his family, whether it was watching GA football or casting a line at the river or the lake. He also enjoyed watching baseball and Nascar. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid pool shooter. He coached many kids in softball and baseball for 30 plus years, including winning a state championship in 2002. He loved the beach and playing poker in Jacksonville. He received many awards during his tenure as a high school baseball player @ Northside High School, as well as at Southeast Bulloch High School.
The visitation will be on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral to honor Robert’s life will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home officiated by his nephew, pastor James Davis. The pallbearers will be Hunter Warnell, Tucker Edwards, Austin Warnell, Brady Edwards, Peyton Curl, and T.L. Minis. Burial will follow at Lower Black Creek Cemetery.
