Springfield – Robert David Watford, Jr., 60, passed away May 29, 2026.
The Chatham County native has been employed with Crescent Towing for over 40 years where he loved working on the water. He had a passion for fast cars, listening to AC/DC, and cooking for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert David Watford, Sr. and Sandra Beckman.
Survivors include his wife, Tina Watford; children, Tiffany Watford, Jessica Watford (Matthew Creel), Robert Watford, Danielle Daniel (Tim), and Robert David Watford, III; grandchildren, Emily Creel Olsen, Alex Creel, Leonidas Shane Creel, Michael Watford, Sean Davis, Taylor Whittington, Lauren Daniel, and Morgan Daniel; great-grandchildren, Samantha Maybelle Olsen, Theodore Gordon Olsen, and Rowan Watford; sisters, Hope Weiss (Joey) and Michelle Beckman; brother, Kris Beckman (Ann Marie); and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Strickland Funeral Home, Effingham Chapel, 2460 Hwy. 21 S., Rincon, GA 31326. 912-754-6421
