Robert Edward Craven

Savannah – Robert Edward Craven, 79, passed away August 16, 2026 at Candler Hospital.

The Chatham County native was member of Radiant Life Assembly of God. He retired from Hargray Communications and then worked at ACE Hardware on Wilmington Island. He loved tinkering and fixing anything around the house, he enjoyed giving new life to a worn out piece of equipment, and also had a very inquisitive mind loving computers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Earl Craven and Jo Francis Jackson Craven; granddaughter, Carly Craven; and sister, Dale Pritchard.

Survivors include his wife, Hilda Craven; sons, Chris Craven (Susanne Booth), Phil Craven (Kimberly), and Craig Craven (Jessica); grandchildren, Madison Craven, Anna Craven, Jayden Craven, and Jacob Craven; brother, Billy Craven (Brenda); brother-in-law, David Pritchard; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2026 at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
