Meldrim- Robert Danny Hankinson, 68 died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at Memorial Health.
The Savannah native was a retired truck driver and an avid outdoorsman. He had served from 1963 -1965 in the U.S. Marine Corps. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Virginia Hankinson; sister, Margaret Bailey; and brother, Ronnie Hankinson.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Hankinson; children, Robert D. Hankinson, IV, Randy Hankinson (Mary), and Stephanie Phillips Godbee (Tim); 9 grandchildren; a sister, Deborah Hilton (Harry); and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation: 4-5 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
Memorial Service: 5 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
