Robert E. Henry, Jr. "Bubba"

Robert E. Henry, Jr. " Bubba", 62, of Effingham County, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, quiet dedication, and deep love for his family.  For 30 years, Robert navigated the open roads as an owner-operator truck driver.  He took immense pride in his trade, taking on the long miles with a strong work ethic and a steady hand.  Beyond the driver's seat, Robert was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by those who knew him best.  He was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Robert E. Henry, Sr. and Alleene Henry.  Robert's memory lives on through his surviving family, siblings, Kathy Barefoot (Allen), Wayne Henry (Susan), Cissy Henry, and Mary Henry; nieces, Brandy Barefoot and Victoria Barefoot; nephews, Justin Barefoot, Bobby Henry, Kaden Barefoot, and Jameson Smith, as well as the Jones family.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Robert's honor to the American Heart Association, www.heart.org or the American Diabetes Association, donate.American Diabetes Association.  The visitation will be on Sunday, August 9, 2026 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.  The graveside funeral and burial will be on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 1 p.m. at Bonaventure Cemetery located at 315 Greenwich Road in Thunderbolt, Georgia.  Thomas C.
