Pooler, Robert Brian Hunter, 75, passed away on July 10, 2024, after a short illness.
Brian grew up in Garden City and graduated from Groves High School and completed a Bachelor's degree from Armstrong University. He lived on Tybee Island for over forty years before moving to Garden City. Brian retired from sales and enjoyed his retirement as an avid fisherman and golfer. Mostly he enjoyed spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Henry Hunter, Sr. and Edith Bowman Hunter; siblings, Crystal Hunter Flathman and John H. Hunter.
Survivors include wife, Angela Bess Hunter; daughter, Jamey Hunter Dupuy; grandchildren, Terry Lee Wilkes, III "Tripp", Ella Ann Dupuy, Robert "Bobby" Delapasse Dupuy; great grandson, Cas John Dupuy; brothers, Thomas (Carole) Hunter and Gregory (Leesa) Hunter; sister-in-laws, Audrey Overstreet (Mark), and Jean Hunter; brother-in-laws, Weldon "Butch" Parker, Jr. (Emmie), and John Parker (Beth); as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at the Garden City United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. followed by burial at the Springfield Cemetery with Rev. Matt Stout officiating.
