Mr. Robert McArthur Jones, 82, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025.

Robert will be missed by his wife, Jan Jones; his son, Kendell Green (Brittney); grandchildren, Cadence Grace Comstock, Kember Elizabeth Green and Pearson Ruddell Green; his sisters, Nellie Jones Powell and Mabel Hodges; as well as his sisters-in-law, Mary Jones and Linda Pearson Kearns (Johnny), as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Montgomery Jones and Willie Pearl Dye Jones, brothers, Lamar Jones, Harvard Jones and Johnny Jones Jr., as well as his sisters, Mary Willie Jones (J.W.) and Christine Jones Frost Watts (John).

Robert was born in Sandersville, Georgia and had lived in Chatham County for many years. Robert attended Compassion Christian Church, was a born-again Christian, and was an ordained minister.  He volunteered his time evangelizing and had his own prison ministry. He served in the US Navy and later worked in the construction business.

The visitation will be on Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  The funeral to honor Robert's life will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Lionel Marmolejo officiating.  The graveside funeral and burial with military honors will follow at 2 p.m. at Beaufort National Cemetery located at 1601 Boundary Street in Beaufort, South Carolina.
