Robert James Lange, Sr. USN, ret.

Robert James Lange, Sr. USN, ret. 81, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018.

Bob enlisted in the United States Navy in 1955 and retired after 20 years of service. His final rank was Chief Petty Officer. After leaving the Navy he worked for Firestone Tire Company in Albany, GA and Wooley and Company in Norcross, GA. Bob loved to travel and was an avid gardener.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Wallace Lange.

He is survived by his children, Robert J. Lange, Jr (Denise), Michael Lange (Linda), Anita Lange, and Cheryl Dasher (Andy), 8 grandchildren, a great grandson, his sisters Barbara Odendhal (Charlie), and Mary Lou Daniels.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Strickland Funeral Home in Rincon.

Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday at Bible Lutheran Church. Mr. Lange will lie in state from 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bible Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 812 Blue Jay Road, Rincon, GA 31326.
