Port Wentworth – Mr. Robert "Bob" Lanier, 71, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a two year battle with illness.

Bob is going to be missed by his family whom he loved so much, including his loving wife of almost 52 years, Rhonda Lanier; children, April Lanier and Robert "Rob" Lanier; grandchildren, Michaela (Sam) Taylor, Addison Lanier, Dawson Fields and Braydon Lanier; great-grandchildren, Sutton and Barras Taylor; sisters, Irma Larrimore, Kay (David) Grandgeorge and Evelyn (Bubba) Aimar; brothers, Tommy (Pennie) Lightfoot and Buddy Lanier; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Denver and Lucille Lanier, and brothers, Dennis and Bill Lanier.

Bob was best known for his hard work and took great pleasure in providing for his family.  He was currently employed at White Cap Industries and had previously worked for 37 years at Gulfstream Aerospace.  He loved yardwork, family gatherings and his Waffle House coffee.  Bob's kindness, generosity and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be given to the American Red Cross.  The family is truly grateful to all blood donors, as a result Bob has received numerous transfusions over the last 2 years.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 in the funeral home chapel.
