Robert Lee Mead, Jr., 59, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Lee was born in Chatham County and was a 1982 graduate of Groves High School.  He was employed with his father at Mead's Painting for over 20 years.  He enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves, animals, listening to music, and was an avid skater.  He loved spending time with his nephews and great-niece.  He also loved traveling with Darla, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include his parents, Robert Lee Mead, Sr. and Veronica Gail Mead; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly Dampier (Donnie); nephews, William Landon Dampier (Rebecca) and Bryce Lee Dampier; great-niece, Harlyn Shay Dampier; fiancé, Darla Pattison and her children, Alicia Corbitt (Shawn) and Brett Davis, and her grandson, Jason Corbitt, as well as a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Bloomingdale Alliance Church.  The funeral to honor Lee's life will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church.  The burial will follow at Effingham Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Ken Otto and Rev. Richard Collins will officiate.  The pallbearers will be Landon Dampier, Bryce Dampier, Donnie Dampier, John Hendley, Keith Driggers, and Jeff Davis.
