Mr. Robert "Bob" Lee Parkhurst, 85, of Bloomingdale, GA, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at his home.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Marguerite Parkhurst and his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Dean Rogers Parkhurst.  He was one of the original members of the Bloomingdale Alliance Church.  He received his apprenticeship after four years under General Electric, was employed with Norris Machine Shop, and retired after 27 years of service from Gulfstream.  He had a green thumb and was a skilled wood worker.  Bob was described as being a Godly man, a perfectionist, who had a loving, kind heart.  He will also be remembered for being a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include his children, Donald Parkhurst (Denise-deceased), Ronald Parkhurst (Lori), Lisa Ferland (Roland) and Lori Sapp (Keith); grandchildren, David Parkhurst (deceased), Nancy Stone (Donald-deceased), Dennis Parkhurst (Brandy), Lindy Bowers (Nathan), Ryan Parkhurst, Michael Ferland (Natalie), Dawn Caylor, Makayla Wiley (A.J.), and Jake Sapp (deceased); great-grandchildren, Cameron Stone, Landon & London Bowers, Lincoln Bowers (deceased), Thomas & Conley Chester, Jackson Ferland, Paisley, Bubbie, and Calvin Wiley; siblings, Betty Jo (deceased), Norman (deceased), Elaine, Pat (deceased) and Larry, several nieces, nephews and his beloved dog and companion of 10 years, Buddy.

The visitation will be on Thursday, September 7, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
