Robert Edward Sharkey, Jr.
Port Wentworth- Robert Edward Sharkey, Jr., 68, died Monday, October 15, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
The Long Island, NY native was a retired accountant with J.C. Penney after 20 years of service. He had retired to be with his children and grandchildren. He had served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his children, Katie Sharkey Miller (James) and Robert Edward Sharkey, III; his step-son, James Joseph Gerda (Monica); mother of his children, Julie Sharkey McDonald; sisters, Jane Barrett and Mary Polichicco; and 4 grandchildren.
Memorial Service: 11 am Friday in the funeral home chapel.
Remembrances: Shriners Children's Hospital, 950 West Faris St., Greenville, SC 29605.
