Faulkville – Robert Edgar Stegins, Sr. "Bobby", 73, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at home under hospice care surrounded by his family members.
He loved his old cars, fishing, riding his golf cart to the pond with his two dogs that would follow behind him, Weezle and Tiny. He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren Edgar Stegins and Susie Celeste Stegins Yawn.
Survived by a son, Robert Edgar Stegins, Jr. "Robby"; one sibling, Judy Sue Stegins Criswell; half-brother, Warren Stegins, Jr.; two half-sisters, Dorris McCorkle and Wanda Burgess; two step-children, Chris Rahn (Tammy) and Sharon R. Creel; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and a whole bunch of friends who loved him very much.
The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice and their nurses for a wonderful job and God bless each and every one. We love you.
The visitation was from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the funeral home.
The funeral to honor Mr. Stegin's life was at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 29, 2012 in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Kenny Harrelson officiating. Chris Rahn provided the music and the pallbearers were Eric Stafford, Sr., Eric Stafford, Jr., Stephen Stahl, Marty Stahl, Bill Smith and Joe Stegins. Burial followed at Guyton Cemetery.
