Rincon – Robey Jones, 81, transitioned from this life to the presence of God on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.

He was a retired firefighter for the City of Savannah, GA. He was a member of Rincon Baptist Temple and attended Pineora Holy Church of God. He was predeceased by his parents, J.Z. and Robena Williams Jones.

He is survived by a son, Jerald Jones (Melissa); daughters, Jennifer Buie (Keith) and Cassie James (Jason); grandchildren, Jessica Hudson (Brandon), Jay Thomas Buie (Katie), Justin Buie (Elle); step-grandsons, Blaine Patnaude and Joey Patnaude; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Hudson, Mary Kate Buie, Bo Buie, and Josie Buie; step-great-granddaughter, Piper Jane Patnaude; sisters, Oscelia Shearouse (Wendell), Pam Holloway (Larry), and Toni Zipperer (Leon); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held 6 – 8 pm Thursday, March 26, 2026 in the funeral home.

Funeral will be 11 am Friday, March 27, 2026 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment: Union Cemetery in Springfield

Honorary pallbearers will be retired firemen.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Holloway, Garrett Mitchell, Kurt Sovine, Shane Phillips, Thomas Williams, and Jeffrey Mitchell.
