Claxton-Pooler - Mr. Roger F. Waters passed away on Easter Sunday just days from his 89th birthday.
Mr. Waters lived around Claxon most of his life, riding his bicycle to wherever he was working or going. Although Mr. Waters had disabilities, he worked hard, raised his girls and was a joy to everyone who knew him. He will be greatly missed by Wisteria Gardens Assisted Living in Pooler where he had lived since they opened thirteen years ago. He is preceded in death by his wife, Kate Donahue; daughter, Katherine Tatum; and brother, John Douglas Waters.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice Beck of Rome; her son, Buddy Tibbits; Katherine's daughters; Elecia Tatum of Claxton and Cynthia (MSG Bobby) Plunkett of Brandenburg, KY; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Waters also had one sister-in-law, Meredith Waters Bacon, by his side for anything he needed along with Meredith and Douglas's children; Tracy Waters of Singapore, Alan Waters of Bloomingdale, and Melanie Fielder of Bloomingdale. He will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation: 1-2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Middleground Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Statesboro.
